the only thing keeping me going is that spring break is next week! it can't come soon enough! i NEED a break from all this craziness! i will spend my break with my daddy who is coming from SF for my great grandma's service and learning some chem...but at least i will be learning it at my own pace as opposed to the crazy fast pace of Dr Smith. She is awesome but jeez...i am not nearly as awesome...give me a break.!.

so when you look at this scene from the Disney animated movie Finding Nemo do you think that Disney did an awful editing job or do you know that those white specks are supposed to be there? well not only are they supposed to be there, they are one of the reasons why i love companies like Disney. Even though they are making an animated children's movie they employ real microbiologists and marine biologists to help them create a "real" environment. The white specks are marine snow, particles of dead and alive particles that float from the top waters to the deep ocean. such an important part of the biological pump that other movies like titanic seemed to "forget" when creating their underwater scenes. i am a dork, this i know. i was watching er once and i wanted to die, they called for a thousand milligrams of lorazepam STAT! what were they trying to do? kill the person immediately? little things like that make the world of a difference to me...thats why i like House...they use real drug names for real implications and the correct dosages!! okay i am done ranting and raving...lol, good nite!

i have an addictive personality. it is a good thing i never got involved in drugs or such. whew.

i was putting away my jackets from a week or so of school and i started to realize i have WAY TOO much clothes. i blame this on my mother. heh.

this is a picture of just my tokidoki, juicy and hello kitty t-shirts. i have a lot of others folded in drawers, these are just the ones that are hung up. i read a comment on the tokidoki blog, a girl said she has 15 tokidoki shirts...too many already...what? how could that be too many? i dont only wear t-shirts either...the other half of the closet is going out tops and such.

i also have a fascination for jackets, sweaters and hoodies! i think that they are an extension of your outfit...you can't possibly wear the same one everyday. i also only wear juicy, tokidoki or hello kitty jackets, i love j pulls. only juicy girls know what that means..hehe. so i just put away 9 jackets this evening from this past week. its been really cold in hawaii! hehe...

the first step is admiting you have a problem right?!

oh and btw i just bought a new tokidoki t-shirt and hoodie this afternoon. whoops. the new collection came out...i couldn't help it.

i really dont know how to study. i cannot study at home because my bed is so inviting and there is just so many other things to do. i cannot study at public places like Starbucks where i happen to be right now. i end up watching people as they walk in and out of the store. i look at what they are ordering, who they are with and the most important of it all what they are wearing. dont go to starbucks in your pjs cause i am watching you! i dont deal well with the cold so the library actually works out for me besides it being so cold that i can't think. so maybe these are all just excuses as to why i feel i have the attention span of a two year old. hehe...so no matter where you place me, i still will be able to study for an hour at the most before i get bored! ever wonder how i got to where i am? me too.....lol!

so who knew that there are hundreds of cherry blossom trees in wahiawa? not me! yesterday while i was at work my mommy called me to tell me we are going to wahiawa. My first thought was, "huh? where is that?" and my second thought was "what in the heavens for?" So i was imagining waianae in my head and even today when i was telling my friend over lunch what i did yesterday i mentioned that i went to waimanalo. sigh, i need to get out more often. hehe.

anyway...there are hundreds of cherry blossom trees in bloom in wahiawa right now! pretty pretty flowers! A branch was brought from Japan long long long ago and it was passed around the community. These trees are very special to the Japanese cultural and they can only be grown in very very cold areas. I think i need a house in Wahiawa just so i can have a cherry blossom tree in my yard! even though i would prolly get lost everyday going home. =P

i really didnt want to do this. i really didnt want to let you know that you bother me but i can't hold it in anymore. If i thought you were adult enough to have a real conversation with me i would totally do this face to face but i know how you are and i know how you miscontrue things. So by having everything in writing in plain sight, there is no funny business and everyone is capable of reading exactly what i want to say.
i cannot stand when i hear that you are still talking about me. It's been a long time since we have been friends and i would hope that although we aren't friends anymore the feelings towards one another could at least be neutral. you dont have to like me very much or even at all but why all the negative feelings? We were friends, you said that was okay, you said that was all that you wanted. You knew i was talking to someone else...so why again are you upset? why again were you telling people the WRONG story about us? again, it is fine that you dont like me, if thats what it takes to make you feel better, blame everything on me, i dont mind. What i do mind is you putting *Jk in the middle. We are totally separate entities, she can be friends with the both of us at the same time and have no problem, i dont talk about you so why do you feel the need to talk about me to her? Also if you want to talk crap, at least make sure your story is correct. I admit that i dont live my life perfectly, i have flaws and talk about them go ahead but dont make up flaws just so you have something to talk about. *Jk and i have conflicting schedules this semester, it has NOTHING to do with the multitude of boys that you think i am messing around with. In all honesty, i am seeing no one right now, not even one boy as opposed to the MANY you think i am. You were around for the whole ordeal of *L, he hurt me...are you happy? does that make you happy to hear that he hurt me? you wanted to be around to say "i told you so." You weren't around but say it now, maybe it will make you feel better. So its not that i am "messing" around with many boys, i won't let anyone close to me anymore, i am afraid of being hurt again. Does that make you happy? that i am afraid? as for the *Jh situation, i was being a friend to him when he needed one. Why is it wrong for a girl to be FRIENDS with a boy and want nothing more? i honestly thought that although we still aren't speaking, things at least died down...from the beginning you were giving others the wrong impression of me...so i guess it shouldn't surprise me that you are still doing the same thing but i just wish you would stop.
so you hate me, you cant stand me, and you think awful thoughts about me.

San Fran got their shipment of tokidoki for hello kitty in today! =D Lucky me that my daddy lives there! The San Fran store...lovely people btw...sent me a text and email this morning saying that the stuff was there! i instantly called my daddy. yay for daddies! So i got myself more of the coveted collection! I didn't wanna make him buy too much after all i had so many questions that he just wouldn't or couldn't answer...he said he couldnt describe things...the blanket was made out of a fleece like material, that was the best description of the blanket that i could get out of him. sheesh. anywhoo i will fight with the rest of the Hawaii people for the other things that i want when it finaaaallly gets here. i know i shouldnt complain because at least ala moana is getting a shipment in...after all only three stores in the US are so lucky. =)
so now that the SF store got their shipment in..we are one step closer of getting the goods into Hawaii...i can't wait! =D

mondays are so rough for me...well wednesdays and thursdays are pretty bad too...but lets complain about mondays since today is monday. =)
i start school at 8:30...have classes and or labs until 7:30...only one 50 minute break all day...work at seven tomorrow morning and have a lab report due so you know that i stay up all nite monday writing my report that is due on tuesday.
i needed a break from lab writing so i decided to blog about how disturbing my mondays are.
on a happier note, my lab today is a good lab and my lab partner is *M..yay! i spent the remainder of my day with *J writing our reports that are due tomorrow..we make an awesome team! the fishies are doing awesome...swim swim swim! oh, and *J found my t-shirt online for me!! hehe, there are too many *J's out there...! Cubby you were right! =)
better get back to writing my report...
hope your monday was easier than mine! (even though if you work in a pharm, ur day was prolly just as hectic as mine!)

today was such a good day! My first Monday off from work since i can remember...Monday's are generally the busiest days for pharmacies which means i never get Mondays off. Due to some fancy scheduling and some luck i remained off of the schedule today, lucky me!

i got a hello kitty cactus!!

i finally went to the zoo today! i've been wanting to see the baby tigers ever since they were first allowed out! rainy days has kept me away from the zoo and although today wasn't a very pretty day...we took a chance and went anyway! i am so glad we did! the baby tigers are so big already! "when they are next to their momma, they are so small....when they are next to nothing, they are so big!" i hope to keep going and watch them grow up... =)

thanks *J for taking me! maybe next time we go there will be a whale..hehe.

i just have to complain...

why would an institution make grades available on a day like christmas?! what if you didn't get the grade you wanted and you are bummed all day because of it? So, i didn't study as well as i should have this semester and my vegas weekend didn't help my situation any either. So one of my grades was really riding on my final exam grade...pass or fail...this is serious business! My entire next semester schedule depended on this class and it seemed like so did the rest of my life...what a drama queen, yes i know...but still!

so i wake up to a text message that says grades are posted! i am faced with the decision of jumping out of bed and checking my grade or waiting...of course i wake up to check...i pulled off a miracle! i passed! no-one is excited for me because no-one besides myself actually thought that i would fail. i am sooOOooo relieved! i can breathe again!

although this time my grades were in my favor...besides that one 89% which equated into a B+ (boOo to me for not getting that extra one percent) but really couldn't i have gotten an A-?

grades on christmas...is a bad idea!! =P

i really can't help myself...

this stuff fascinates me.

we ran experiments on soil samples that were randomly collected outside. Let me first tell you that microorganisms that produce antibiotics (the medicine you get when you are sick) capable of inhibiting the growth of other microorganisms are found in the soil! So next time you are romping around outside, think that you could be stepping on a microorganism that is yet to be discovered yet could have the potential to save your life in the future! or even just cure your cold.

this is a plate with two separate antibiotic producing organisms amongst many other types of bacteria. do you see how all the organisms grow alongside each other? Now look at the purple circle. notice how there is a clear zone surrounding the circle in the middle? That clear zone is caused by an antibiotic that is being produced, it is killing the other bacteria around it. Do you see another little guy that is producing antibiotics too?

...so much bacteria...so much potential...

the growth in the middle is just more growth of the initial organism. The little lines on the side are other types of known bacterias. Our little unknown organism produced antibiotics that were useful against the two bacteria species on the left hand side...see how there is no growth?

FOR NOTHING!

my flight was delayed! we left vegas on time, were flying in the air for two hours and then they made us turn around and go back to vegas! i was already freaking out, counting the hours i had left to make it back home on time to take my exam. counting and counting, if they take one hour to fix the plane i can still make it...if they take two hours...i can go straight to school from the airport and take my exam in my tinkerbell sweats...if they take any longer i am screwed. so sitting in the airport i think i almost lost my mind, no, i take that back, i did lose my mind checking my watch and watching as the minutes flew by, taking my chances to take my exam with them. So they said two hours to fix the plane...and granted they gave me a false sense of hope because they started to reboard the airplane before their two hours were up but....they made us sit in the plane in the airport for and hour and a half! so much for being on time...i really studied too...crap. so wanna know my exam grade? i don't even have to wait until the exams are handed back...i got a ZERO! ='(

i'll post about bsb later..i've got a huge paper due tomorrow. i dont wanna fail everything.. =/

so my vegas weekend is finally here! I fly out friday afternoon, right after my last class and i come home monday morning at 6:30 to take an exam at 10:30. So of course i decided to start studying a long time ago so i wouldnt have to bring my textbook with me and so i won't fail my exam monday morning. As usual, i found other things to do and here we are at the weekend and i have yet to study! I am bringing my textbook with me but my friend said why bother, you aren't even going to open it! ah...oh wells. vegas...here i come! i can't wait to see you all up there and get ready we are gunna party like there is no exam on monday! lol!

if anyone knows me they know i am not into the whole super hero ability thing. my magical gift would have to be the ability to design and create awesome clothes. fashion is not an option! i honestly admire those that can draw and sew.

oh man...here we go...
i can't stand bad grammar, spitting disgusts me, littering, dirty ketchup bottles (or any type of dirty bottle for that matter), clothes that don't fit people right, cheapy clothes (im not snobby..the fabric is awful and its so mass produced everyone ends up wearing the same thing..no thank you), people who think they know more about their medication than i do, being ignored and one letter text messages. besides that i'm pretty easy going =P

the other nite i stayed up pretty late studying. i was sitting on the floor reading and didnt even notice that Tinkie had already gone to sleep. i looked up for her and couldn't find her, i turned my head and found her fast asleep on the bed. she was sleeping so peacefully i didnt have the heart to wake her up to move her. Notice how she is sleeping sideways in the middle. i ended up sleeping in a ball on the foot of my bed. so now i know...go to sleep before she does!

i just couldnt wake her up...look at her..shes adooooorable!

you know how when a fighting fish sees another fighting fish, it flares up its face, gets all mad and ready to fight? everytime i stick my face in front of a fighting fish's tank, it flares up and wants to fight me! i used to think that it was just my fish, hungry and waiting for me to feed him...recently i noticed its everyone's fishies. =P
this morning i was standing in front of fat mama's tank and i turned around and look at what she was doing! she was standing up! LoL!

she actually looks a lot better from the side...im trying to catch her doing it again so i can take her pic from the side...if she does, i'll update the pic.

their pictures were released today!! they are the first cubs born at the Honolulu Zoo since April of 1981. They don't know when they will be available for public viewing yet. I wanna see these little guys...someone needs to take me to the zooooo!

i just endured the worst week ever. everything that could have went wrong did. when i look back, all could have been prevented, avoided or at least the pain could have been dulled if i had just prepared better. someone told me today, dont think about it, you can't change anything now, look ahead, next week will be better. i sure hope so cause if not i don't think i'm gunna survive.

i won't forget this week, i will be constantly reminding myself of it. nothing good comes out of being unprepared...doing nothing equals producing nothing. my new thought for the day. =P

yep, i am a reality tv show watcher. i happen to loooove a few of them too, america's next top model being one of them. I love to watch the show in the beginning and choose my winner. The show is so much more interesting when you have someone in mind that you think should win. Some seasons, no one "wows" me, other seasons like this one there are a few. I love seeing the different photo shoot scenarios they photograph them in and the fashion! The clothes they get to model...amazing! This is my hopeful winner, Clark. She is stunning to me...she started the show with blonde hair and Tyra gave her the dark hair...which solidified my decision.

it was just recently my girlie Kristen's birthday...Happy birthday btw...but it got me thinking about how old we are all getting. *sigh* Kris is the last of us to have a birthday in the year, it used to be a crappy thing...we could all go to the club before her, we could all start legally drinking before her but now that there are not so much "fun" milestones ahead of us i think her late birthday works in her favor!~

anyway..as i was thinking about our ages, i started thinking about when i first met these girlies. These girls have been with me for 12 years now! whew! thats a long time! do you know how many boys we went through in those years?!

well....maybe not me, but...ahaha!!

just wanted to tell em that i love em dearly and heres to mannnnny more!

twelve years is exactly half of our lives...the ratio only goes up from here..i'm lucky to have u guys!

today i realized the importance of studying outside of my own home. when i study at home this is my pattern, study for one hour and then take a two hour nap. wake up, play with my dog or something equally as random, study for an hour and then take another nap. wake up, check my email or update my blog, and now back to studying...who wants to guess whats in store for me in about an hour?! a nap?! prolly...see you in my dreams! =P

i lost something that no-one knew i had...i lost someone who meant the world to me...i lost the battle i have been fighting for so long now. i'm not entirely okay with it yet but i will be. life moves on and i continue to exist. they say sometimes you don't realize what you have until its gone...sometimes you do realize what you have and its not until they want somebody else that you realize they never will be yours again. i wish i could be mad, i wish i could be filled with hate, those types of feelings might make this easier to deal with. instead i sit with happy memories, content and somewhat fulfilled. i'm not the type of person to give up on what she wants, some call me spoiled, i call myself determined. as i have learned, determination will not always get you what you desire, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.

People always say that things happen for a reason.

i belive them.

i know i was meant to meet him, i know i was meant to have him in my life, i know that he was meant to teach me all that he did.

i hope this new girl treats him well, i hope this new girl wakes up every morning and appreciates him, i hope this new girl is everything he imagined that i couldn't be.

just by reading the title of this , i know what you are thinking. 'is this girl serious?!' well, YES i really am. my rph at work keeps telling me that hello kitty is for ten year old girls. i keep arguing that hello kitty has grown up and while she still caters to the little girls, she has a new big girl grown up side to her too. google her name, the things you will come up with will excite you! she is my hero for so many reasons...shes a japanese fashion icon, with that cute little bow in her ear, she has multiple friends and yes sometimes they do come and go..the good ones stick around and some of the good ones that she lets go, comes back around, she is blinged out more than ever and she knows collaborations are the key! Everything has a hello kitty version which absolutely thrills me yet makes my wallet cringe with fear, tshirts-books-computers-cameras-toasters-surfboards-guitars-even cars! i currently carry around a hello kitty pencil case with hello kitty pencils and pens, post its and even highlighters! =D there is even a webpage called "hello kitty hell" its made by a man whose wife is a major fan as well, he has come to deal with her obsession..my poor husband! ahaha. i'll elaborate more later, i'm reading the newest and greatest about my hero... =)

this is a looong story, get ready!

tokidoki and hello kitty together! whoohoo! wait! there is a catch!

There are four separate collections (white, green, black & pink) all to be released in Japan. One collection (the white) is being released in the US! wait..in only FOUR stores (New York, San Francisco, LA and HONOLULU!). okay, so its coming here, i can't wait! I go to the sanrio store...the lady says, "there WAS a waiting list, it is now CLOSED!" mind you, this was two months before the release date..TWO months and already closed?! arrrrgh! So yes, i am upset, actually dumbfounded, i couldn't speak i just stared at the lady with a blank expression..my friend had to talk on my behalf, i just had no words. she says that there are some things that haven't been pre sold so there is still a chance that i can get something, MAYBE. SO...i call EVERYDAY near the release date.."did it come in yet? today? okay, how about today?" even went to the store to make sure they weren't lying to me! the San Francisco and New York stores got their shipments in and sold out of them and the Honolulu store still had no shipment! Almost two weeks late!

FINALLY! it is here! i called at 11, which is when they get their shipments in and wouldn't ya know it, i'm stuck at work! i am not missing this for anything..debate leaving but call granny instead. Persuaded her to go down for me! Guess what?! They weren't gonna sell it until the next day or the day after, i guess they had to check them in, or whatever. So i sent granny for nothing. sorry!

ANYWAY...the next day comes...i seriously debate whether to go to work or not. I don't know if they will start selling them today but WHAT IF. I end up going to work...telling myself that i can leave on my lunch break to go look. Grumpa and granny looooooove me and so they went for me. rewarding me for actually going to work...hehehe! grumpa was in the store when he overheard someone say they were going to start selling things at 11:30...SOON..so he stands in line! He calls granny and says hurry, i'm in line and i don't know what for! Wouldn't ya know that there is a TWO ITEM limit per person! i am at work dying cause i wanna be there..granny says don't bother by the time you get here everything will be gone. they had two of each thing left after the presale..only two to sell to the public?! do you understand the hysteria and why i needed to be there that second they decided to sell it?! They were only able to buy three things that day..due to some system to make things fair (which didn't make sense by the way) but oh wells...they took grumpas name down...and the next week we get a call that the last of the shipment came in! i guess only a partial came in the first time..so i got MORE things!

It was fate the way things worked out...granny n grumpa just went to check and they were there right before it was sold! grumpa got a call to say the other things came in, i was off of work and so i flew to ala moana and picked up the LAST wallet and LAST pouch! Sorry cubby...i had to buy them, they wouldn't have been there by the time you got off of work! =( So with a little bit of luck and sheer determination i got some of the coveted Hello Kitty/ tokidoki collaboration!
